“I earned $70,000 in one month.”
“My website went from $200 in advertising to $5,000.”
“How I became a millionaire online”
“What you need to know to make money online”
It’s incredible how many websites exist that promise such high claims. Of course, they’re only pulling you to the site to click on their ads, buy their “how to” products and charge you tons to be your consultant.
I’ll admit I’ve checked out a few of these lately, just wondering how they could possibly be so successful. I’ll also admit that I’ve found some interesting advice about blogging, advertising and search engine optimization on them.
But how does someone actually decide to start something like this? How do you decide to spend years after years just focusing on successful blogs, financial advice and more? I suppose some people are truly passionate about these topics.
After all, it can be pretty lucrative. You create a successful website and earn money. You create a book or course to teach people how to create a successful website and earn money. You write another book or course to teach people how to teach others how to do the same and earn money.
It spirals and spirals, and they continue to earn money.
I’ve thought about incorporating some of the tips in my Jane Austen and Navigating Newsrooms sites, but I’m not sure yet how far I want to push it.

Tell me what you think!
